Welcome to Grown in Grey

Grown in Grey welcomes students, teachers, and volunteers to learn about agriculture at an in-person and hands-on event. It is held in April at the Desboro Community Centre each year.

The objective of Grown in Grey is to further educate children, specifically those in grade five, about what is happening in agriculture and related industries in our region. Grown in Grey is run by a group of core volunteers and is a not-for-profit organization. This event is made possible by the co-operation of a large number of organizations, commodity groups, farmers, educators and individuals interested in the many facets of agriculture.

Since it started in 1997, we have had over 11,000 Grey County students visit our event and each of them came away with a better understanding of agriculture and how it is part of the fabric of Grey County.

We are enthusiastically looking forward to another great event in Desboro in April and we hope to see you there. Registration is on a first come, first serve basis and we have filled up very quickly, so you might want to register early! We will confirm your entry or let you know if you are on the waiting list. Students pay $5 each. Schools are responsibility for booking and paying for bussing.
